This Weekend's Science Fiction & Fantasy Box Office Report:
- #1, $50.5 million: Iron Man. Iron Man has grossed $177.134 million in the past two weeks, and those are only the domestic numbers.
- #2, $20.21 million: Speed Racer. I predicted this last week. It's a shame because Speed Racer was a phenomenal movie. It's just fallen victim to poor timing, getting squashed between Iron Man and Narnia: Prince Caspian.
- #8, $1.9 million: The Forbidden Kingdom. Another movie that fell victim to poor timing. Where were all these movies during March and April?
- #9, $1.325 million: Nim's Island. Though Nim's Island has only grossed $44 million domestically, I think its prolonged exposure in the box office could lead to decent DVD sales and rentals.

As for my predictions (click here to read them): I was 80% correct, guessing correctly on everything except for Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which I predicted would take 5th. Baby Mama took 5th instead, with Forgetting Sarah Marshall taking 6th. But they were only 2 million dollars different, so I'd say I did a good job, wouldn't you?
