• Warner Brothers, Brad PItt, and George Miller team up to create The Odyssey--only it's set in outer space. My Take: Okay, lets see... How many ways can we make a movie about the Odyssey that isn't set in Greece. Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Cold Mountain... 
• Terrence Howard on Iron Man 2: He was just as surprised to find out he was no longer in it as we were. In fact, he heard it on the news. My Take: Marvel has some explaining to do, but they aren't talking.
• Rob Reiner will direct Book of Shadows, an action adventure movie about a man who much find the Book of Shadows to restore balance to the world. My Take: Reiner's good, and this actually sounds interesting--at least more interesting than a lot of the stuff out there right now.

• Ridley Scott will direct Forever War, a science fiction movie based on the book by Joe Haldeman published in 1974. My Take: Cool. Alien still rocks. 
• It looks as though Mel Gibson has passed on Lethal Weapon 5. Yes, it is probably dead in the water. My Take: On one hand, I'm sad. On the other hand, the last few installments of my favorite series (Indiana Jones and The Mummy) have basically sucked, so this is probably good. 
• Don Cheadle will replace Terrence Howard in Iron Man 2. My Take: And no one seems to be talking about why except for "financial differences."
